“Please, he’s going to hurt her!” Dannie said, turning to look at Logan.
“He’s not going to hurt her,” Logan said. “Not sure about Thorn, though.” He shoved Dannie back on the seat. “Stay put, or he’s going to do the same thing to you.”
“Let me go you fucking animal!” Katrina yelled.
“Not going to listen to that shit the whole trip, either,” the man said.
Dannie wanted desperately to stop him from stuffing a gag into Katrina’s mouth, but didn’t move for fear of also being tied up.
Logan left her, for which she was thankful. With Katrina now tied up and unable to move at all or speak, the one who had done it moved to the front of the RV and took a seat. She watched him talk to the other—Justice—she thought she heard him called.
“Okay, let’s go!” Logan said, rushing back in and closing the door. “You’ve got maybe five minutes before it goes up.”
“What the hell did you do?” Justice asked.
“Don’t ask.”
“I’ve got to shower,” Stray stated. “I smell like them.”
“Shower is in the back.”
“Thanks,” Stray got up and swayed some as he walked to the back. Dannie watched him just as she turned her eyes upward to Logan who stood over her, staring.
“Save me some,” Logan said to Stray, not taking his eyes off her.
He stayed like that, just staring, making her feel uncomfortable. It got to a point where she couldn’t stand it anymore. “What are you going to do with us?” she asked, fearing the answer.
“I don’t know yet. With you that is.” He looked over his shoulder at Katrina. “With her, the plans are already set.”
“I don’t understand.”
“Why did you do it?” he asked.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
He knelt down, right in front of her so they were face to face. “Yes you do.”
Her eyes caught Katrina’s who was frowning and shaking her head. From the look on her face, she was trying to not only hear everything but also maybe understand what he was talking about.
“Hey, we should talk,” the one who tied up Katrina said, nudging Logan in the shoulder.
“Sure,” Logan said, his eyes still locked on Dannie. “This talk isn’t over with,” he told her, standing up slowly.
She watched the two go to the back of the RV. When the door closed, she sighed in relief and looked back at her sister.
“Are you all right?” she asked Katrina. Katrina nodded. “What do we do?” she breathed out in a low voice with the hopes that they couldn’t hear her. Katrina only shrugged slightly a frown back on her face.

“What’s wrong?” Logan asked Damond.
“Full moon is what’s wrong,” Damond sighed. “It’s a few days off. Don’t you feel it?”
Logan frowned and shook his head. He turned his head when he heard the water turn off next to them. Stray was finished with his shower and Logan was just itching to take one and rid himself of the different scents that lingered on his body. However, that wasn’t what had him still frowning. He should feel the full moon coming. He always had. Thinking on it harder it came to him that he hadn’t felt it the whole time he was caged up and being used.
“That’s strange,” Logan said. “I haven’t felt it the whole time I was there.”
“I’m not sure that going to Ponca right now with it being that close is good for me and Justice.”
Ponca happened to be an all shifter town. No humans, unless they were mated to a shifter, were allowed there. Hell, no human knew how to find it or that the town existed. The shifter kept it a tightly guarded secret, and since it was sitting right in the middle of thick woods keeping that secret wasn’t too difficult.
“And I don’t think it’s the best idea either to take those two,” Damond added.
Stray came out of the bathroom then, a towel wrapped around his waist, water still dripping from his hair and chest.
“Feel better?” Logan asked.
Stray didn’t smile. He hardly ever smiled even before this shit had happened to them. “Much.”
Damond moved away from Logan and went to some drawers on the far side of the bed. He brought out clothes, handing some to Stray. “Here, these should fit you.” He handed more to Logan. “You also. We can get you more, later.”
“Thanks,” Stray said, taking the clothes and moving to the other side of the bed. The towel dropped and he started to get dressed. “So what’s going on?”
“Damond just informed me that the full moon is getting close,” Logan said. “And I don’t feel it. Do you?”
Stray stopped with the jeans almost to his hips. A couple seconds went by and he finished pulling them up. “No.”
“Maybe it’s the drug then,” Damond said then sighed. “But I’m not sure if going to Ponca is a good idea with it being that close, either.”
“Where’s he wanting to meet?” Stray asked Damond.
“Says he has a spot where no one ever goes and the others stay away. Said he put a cousin of his there a few years ago, but I didn’t know he had any family left,” Damond remarked.
Again, Stray stilled and this time slowly turned around. His eyes landed on Logan. “That was a long time ago,” Logan said.
“What?” Damond asked.
“Thorn’s cousin,” Stray sighed, sitting down on the bed. “I met her when we were stopping over for a night. Thorn was just moving her to the place.”
“Whoa!” Damond held a hand up. “She?”
“Yeah, she,” Stray said. “She doesn’t have much shifter in her, but she stays there because she is born of shifters. Thorn is her only family and her protection, not that she needs much. Males won’t go near her because they think she’s odd not having the full shifter gene in her. Anyway, she was young and sort of had a crush on me.”
“So,” Damond remarked.
“So...” Again, Stray sighed. “She tried to seduce me and shit. Thorn found out and almost went nuts. Like I said before though, she’s got more human in her than shifter, so she was just looking for a thing I guess. There was no attraction on my part, and nothing on hers either. She was bored and young.”
“Okay, I’m a bit lost here now,” Damond said frowning with a hand on his hip, the other he waved at Stray. “She tried to seduce you, but nothing happened. Thorn knows and still is sending us there to wait for him. Um, why? She could do this again, you know.”
“Because Stray won’t mess with her, that’s why,” Logan answered for Stray. “He doesn’t have to worry about him or me, or most likely you and Justice for that matter. Since she doesn’t have very much shifter in her, therefore the attraction or need isn’t there to worry about. She’s not interested in us.”
“Um, yes, there is!” Damond raised his voice then. “Justice and I are unmated.”
Logan snorted. “Come on, we both know Justice has a major hard on for Vashti, so he’s not going to be looking.”
“Yeah, and I still don’t understand why you’re okay with that,” Damond said, his frown now directed at Logan.
Logan shrugged. “Give me time. Had a lot of other shit going on. Besides, she’s a pain in my ass and not my sister. So I’m still thinking about whether I want to kick his ass or not.”
“Thorn is pretty sure that when it comes to Kirsty, she is dormant to us all,” Stray went on. “He’s had her stashed out there for years and no one has ever messed with her. Bet he doubts any of us will either. I know I’m not interested, or Logan or Justice so that just leaves you, really, and I’ve got faith you won’t do anything.”
“You really think any of us is going to go fuck with her knowing that Thorn is her cousin?” Logan asked.
“Yeah, none of us are dormant to any female if we’re unmated and that includes Thorn’s cousin. If she has even one small gene of shifter in her, then she’s fare game to any of us,” Damond stated. “Period. And he’s playing with fire if he thinks his cou
sin is safe from any of us with the damn full moon coming.”
“Damond, Kirsty has been living there her whole life with shifters. No one is interested in her, and she isn’t interested in them, either.” Stray got back up with his shirt in hand. “Not since I rejected her.”
“You both are nuts,” Damond sighed. “And this is dangerous.”
“I’m going to take my shower now,” Logan said. “Keep an eye on those two. When I get done we’ll let them have a small bathroom break.” He turned for the bathroom and mumbled under his breath, “Wish I knew how long this damn drug is going to last in my system. My body still feels strange to me.”
Chapter Three
Logan stood under the warm water, eyes closed, enjoying the feel of finally being clean. He rubbed soap over his flesh once more, doing a double wash. When he got to his dick, Logan opened his eyes and looked down. It was still red in spots, still sore, and still very limp. He knew it had to be from all the drugs his captors had pumped into his system. He just hoped like hell that it didn’t make him permanently limp. That would suck.
Turning the water off and grabbing the towel, he dried off then stepped out of the shower, wrapping the towel around his waist. He had left his clothes on the bed and right before grabbing them he stopped, lowered his hand then turned and sat down on the bed.
It hit him right then—he was free. He didn’t have to have sex with strangers any more. He wouldn’t be used for hours on end, and wouldn’t have to beg someone to be easy with him. It was all over.
Logan hung his hand down between his legs and struggled to get his breathing normal. He became lightheaded and thought he might pass out any second.
“Hey, you done—whoa!” Damond caught him right before he fell off the bed. “What’s wrong?”
Logan shook his head. “I don’t know. I don’t feel right suddenly.”
Damond helped Logan to lie back on the bed. “Think you just need to get some rest.” Damon pulled up the covers, and once they touched his skin Logan started to shake with the chills. “Your body needs to get rid of the drugs. Stray’s already passed out.”
Logan again shook his head and this time tried to sit up. “The girls.”
“I can take care of them. Get some rest, buddy. We’re about to stop for the night in the woods. They don’t have any place to run to.”
* * * *
Dannie strained to hear anything coming from the back of the RV, but all was quiet. Then she heard the water shut off, and not long after that the larger one, Damond, if she remembered right, went back there. He shut the door and then she heard nothing more.
She looked at her sister. Katrina was still face down on the sofa, her hands and feet tied up tightly, gag in her mouth. Dannie knew she had to be going numb by now. Her own arms were starting to fall asleep.
“Kaz!” Dannie hissed in a low voice. Her sister looked back at her. “If you get a chance to run you go, okay?” Katrina shook her head, frowning back. “Yes. You’ve got to get away. This other they keep talking about wanting you. I bet it’s the one Mother had you be with.” Katrina sighed, closing her eyes as if remembering it. “Please, run if you can. I don’t think that one is going to hurt me.”
The door opened and she jumped. Logan didn’t come out, but the man who had gone in to see him did. Damond. He glared at her first, then his attention went to Katrina. Dannie held her breath as he went over to her sister, brought out a knife and hovered over her. For a split second, Dannie thought he might cut Katrina. He didn’t, but he did start to cut the rope that was holding her legs up, then the one on her wrists. Before Katrina could move, his hand was around her throat, jerking her up to her feet and yanking the gag out.
“What the fuck did that bitch give them?” Damond snarled in Katrina’s face.
Katrina grabbed hold of his wrist with both hands. “I don’t know.”
“Don’t lie to me!” he snarled and gave her a shake. “My friend is all fucked up. I want to know what it was.”
“And I told you.” Katrina struggled to speak. “I don’t know. She didn’t tell us shit.”
“Bullshit!”
“Look you fucking animal, I don’t know shit!”
He growled and Dannie butted in. “I need to go to the bathroom.”
He stilled and looked over his shoulder at her. Once more, he looked at Katrina then shoved her back down and turned to Dannie. With a nod, Dannie stood up and turned around for him. He pulled the knot on her tie and indicated with another nod for her to go back toward the bedroom where the bathroom was located. Slowly, and rubbing at her wrists, she started to walk back there. Keeping an eye on him, he tied Katrina’s wrists together once more, but left her legs free and the gag off.
Katrina nodded to her and Dannie went into the bedroom, only to still when she saw Logan sleeping in the bed. He had one arm hanging off the side of the bed, the covers to his waist and sweat shimmering over his bare chest.
She took two steps towards the bathroom and stopped again. Slowly, Dannie turned back around and started a slow walk up to him. He looked sick to her with his heavy breathing, and sweat on his face and chest. He fisted his hands into balls and restlessly moved his head back and forth.
Dannie frowned. She didn’t understand why he would suddenly get so sick. From what little she knew of his kind they didn’t get sick. At least none that her mother had ever got sick. So why did Logan now appear to be?
Not using her brain, she reached out to touch him, to see if he might have a fever. Why—she had no damn clue, but it ended up being a big mistake. The instant she touched him his eyes opened. Eyes that were dark red and a bit glazed over. A loud growl came out of his mouth right before he lunged at her. Dannie managed to get a scream off before his hand closed around her throat. He slammed her up against the wall, reducing her consumption of air. The force of the slam sent pain down her back.
She grabbed at his wrists, hit at his thick arms and even tried to kick him off her, but the hold he had around her neck didn’t budge. She realized then it wasn’t a man who’d trapped her, but an enraged animal.
“Logan!”
Damond rushed into the room, right up behind him. He grabbed hold of Logan’s arms, tried prying him off Dannie, but it didn’t work. In fact, it had the total opposite effect. The more Damond tried to get him off the tighter Logan squeezed her throat.
“Justice, pull over right now!” Damond yelled.
The RV swerved to the right hard. The motion from that distracted Logan so that his grip loosened enough for Damond to hit his arms. Doing so broke his hold and Dannie was able to gulp in precious air for her burning lungs.
Dannie slid to the floor and Damond got Logan to back away from her. The RV stopped and as she coughed, a hand to her throat, Justice joined the party, helping Damond to get Logan down.
“What happened?” Justice asked.
“I don’t know.” Damond grunted, struggling to keep hold of Logan. “Knock his ass out please.”
Justice got in front of Logan and hit him hard across the jaw. The blow did what it needed to and Logan went limp in Damond’s arms. Damond tossed him onto the bed, then looked out the window.
“You better find us a place for the night,” Damond said to Justice. “Stray might do this also.”
“Yeah, good point.” Justice glanced at her right before dashing out of the room.
Dannie stayed on the floor, holding her throat, trying to make sense of what just happened. Damond turned from the window and went over to her, kneeling down. When his hand came out, reaching for her, she cringed away.
“I’m not going to hurt you,” he said, taking hold of her wrist and pulling the hand from her throat. “Let me see.” He turned her head left then right. “You’re going to bruise like hell. Come on.” With his help, Dannie got back up to her feet.
“What the hell happened?” Katrina demanded the second she saw Dannie. “What the fuck did that animal do?”
Dannie sat down next to Katrina
. When Damond went over to Stray who was also sweaty while he was sleeping, she stood up. “Don’t!” she rasped out. Talking hurt. “You touch him and he’ll go nuts like the other one did.”
Damond frowned but paid attention to what she said and he didn’t touch Stray. Instead, he went to the kitchen area and began digging around. Dannie sat back down.
“What happened?” Katrina asked.
“I don’t know,” Dannie said in a hoarse voice. “I went to see if he had a fever and he just attacked me.”
Damond came back to her and handed her a cloth. “Put this on your throat. It’s ice.”
“So what’s the great plan now, dipshit?” Katrina asked him. Damond stilled. “Or should I ask who’s going to get attacked next? Me?”
“Don’t make me put the gag back on,” Damond snarled.
“Go to hell you rabid dog.”
He made a move and Dannie put herself between them. “Please, don’t.”
Damond looked with killer, dark eyes on Katrina before pushing away from her. He went to the front of the RV and talked low to Justice.
“You need to control yourself,” Dannie said to Katrina. “They can kill us.”
“One already tried,” Katrina stated. She took a deep breath and then started to squirm. “Hey, wolf boy!” Damond slowly looked over his shoulder at her. “Care to untie me so I can use the bathroom?”
He growled low at her and went back to talking then pushed away from the seat and came up to her. Dannie held her breath as he flipped out his knife. “Anymore shit from you it’s back to being gagged and hog-tied, understand?”
With a jerk, Katrina’s hands came free. “Who would’ve thought the pets would be kinky.”
Damond snarled again and Katrina quickly went to the back.
“Hey, Thorn thinks it’s something like withdrawal,” Justice said, coming back to join them, cell phone in hand. “The animal is waking up and cleaning out his body’s system of all the drugs.”
“Great,” Damond sighed.
“Also suggested we find a place deep in the woods and pretty much chain them both to trees until it’s over.”
